National Book Trust has never been visualized as a mere publishing house of the government of India but it acted as an inspiration for the other publishers to creep in to other areas of publishing books and inspired the authors the unexplored dimensions of life to write on thus giving a new taste to the learners. Children literature, fun and comedy are some of the marked areas advocated by NBT to write on in order to create aspiration in the heart of book lovers to grasp it. As an autonomous body of the government of India NBT laid down certain principles to carry out its goals and perspectives to encourage and enhance the learners to go for other new areas of reading, and to assure the public that the books are available in affordable as well as low prices. India for being the nation of varieties of language NBT took necessary measures to publish the important books in all the major languages recognized by the Indian constitution. Make people book minded is a major aim of NBT so that they will take a real taste in grasping the content of the book. Arranging seminars, workshops on current issues and literature is role of the National Book Trust. For the appropriate function of this nationalized organization government appoints a chairman as the head who is nominated by all the members of NBT and is noted litterateurs with good writing records. In order to bring a special interest and aspiration in the individuals for the book and it?s reading, National Book Trust has commenced a new measure-NBT Book club, the advantages of which is that any resident of India is eligible to be its member by the payment of Rs 50 and can subscribe the book with 20% less price as compared to market prices.
