Tarn Taran, April 24 (ANI): Breaking coconuts on the head is not for the faint hearted, but a seven-members of the Tarn Taran based Bir Khalsa Dal (BKD) amazed authorities by smashing 59 coconuts in one minute on their forehead during a competition held in Rome for the world record on April 18.
The team of the Guinness Book of World Records acknowledged their effort and gave the medals for breaking the record. Their earlier record of breaking coconuts placed on their forehead was 41.
"It's a beginning. Our team members would able to do miracles by performing various other stunts in coming times, said Kanwaljit Singh.
The Bir Khalsa Dal has also got global praise for performing the Sikh martial art of "Gatka" and various other courageous stunts on a number of national and International platforms.
Notably, they have not been trained by professional stuntmen, but have developed their skills through practice and determination.
The BKD now plans to encourage other youths to join their fold by training them in the use of the "Gatka". By Ravinder Singh Robin (ANI)
