New Delhi, April 19 (IANS) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Thursday 'hailed' the successful launch of the Agni-5 missile.
Party president Nitin Gadkari said in a statement that the launch had raised India to the 'elite club of nations'.
He also congratulated scientists of the Defence Research and Development Organisation(DRDO), calling the feat a 'proud milestone in the security of the nation since India has now become a missile power'.
The long-range nuclear-capable ballistic Agni-V missile can hit targets 5,000 km away. It was launched from Wheeler Island off the Odisha coast.
