London, Apr 8 (ANI): Anne Hathaway, who usually shows off a thick mane of long brunette locks, has chopped off her hair to achieve the look of her character in the upcoming flick, Les Miserables.
Bosses wanted the harrowing scene in the film to be as real as possible so her co-stars were asked to be brutal with her locks.
"Anne knew she was going to lose her hair, it's part of the storyline," the Sun quoted a source as saying
"But it was still disturbing seeing it being hacked off. Thankfully she only had to film the scene once," the source added.
The 29-year-old plays Fantine who sells her hair and teeth to make cash. (ANI)
