Washington, Feb 24 (ANI): Adele may be performing at the closing ceremony of the London Olympics this summer.
The 'Rolling in the Deep' hitmaker - who bagged six Grammys and two BRITs earlier this year - is among a host of stars who have been approached, according to music director David Arnold who has promised the London event will feature loads of 'fabulous' British music.
"'Without saying we have booked anyone, it goes from Elgar to Adele. It is not just a pop concert, it is not just a classical rendition. It will be everything that we think is fabulous about British music," Contactmusic quoted him as saying.
It is believed the London Symphony Orchestra will provide musical support to the performers.
Previous acts suggested for the big event include Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones and the Spice Girls - although the girl group have since denied that they will be participating. (ANI)
