Melbourne, Jan 19(ANI): Former World No.1 Maria Sharapova has dismissed concerns over a series of mismatches at the Australian Open despite dropping just two games in her first two matches.
Sharapova stormed into the third round, defeating US qualifier Jamie Hampton 6-0, 6-1. She had ousted Argentina's Gisela Dulko 6-0, 6-1 in the first round, The Herald Sun reports.
Third seed Victoria Azarenka has also entered into the third round with a two game loss, while defending champion Kim Clijsters and Spain's Anabel Medina Garrigues relinquished only one game in the second round. (ANI)
