National AIDS Control Organisation was constituted as a division of the ministry of Health and Family Welfare govt. of India in 1992 owing to the scrutinisation of AIDS disease in 1986 in India for the first time. As it was the need of hour to check the disease from its very 1st appearance NACO took various measures to prevail awareness among the denizens of India like not to resort to those activities that will be the cause for the spread of the horrible disease. Such as it made aware the people how the disease spreads through unprotected sex, drugs etc. But later on it observed that unprotected sex is the chief cause to spread the tentacles of this disease mostly among the adults. To safeguard this it disseminated that before sex every body should go for various protective measures, opened infrastructure in hospitals to cure sexually transmitted diseases etc. Even NACO touted the govt. to commence sex education in the schools to make the students aware about the horrible effects of the disease and unsafe sex that may lead to annihilation of life.
