http://www.aicte.ernet.in/ All India Council for Technical Education, a statutory body of the government of India under the ministry of Human Resource Development came in to existence in the year 1945, November for the coordinated planning and arrangement and proper development of technical education system in order to facilitate the flow of education and knowledge in the country. Technical education as well as non-technical education forms two parts of the same academic coin-imparting education to the learners. Technical education is a major form of learning which ensures the candidate with a job in the future and contributes a major share to the overall education system in the country with more students opting for technical education than non-technical. Thus it leads to the high increase of technical educational institutes providing better education to the aspirants. Thus with the view to Zero in and control its educational system, funding, curriculum etc., AICTE is crept vested with the power to monitor, maintain, and finance the technical institutes to upgrade their educational standard with the better assurance for the future. AICTE for the smooth function of technical education in the Nation has established nine bureaus to carry out the education ahead of all the impediments to ensure better academy to the students. It recognizes and accredits all the vocational colleges and universities in India and funds them with a thorough investigation in accordance with its needs and necessities. Without the permission and approval of AICTE no vocational institute can run or set off in the country. Headquartered in the national capital of Delhi, it is run by the secretaries and supervised by the chairperson. Nearly 1500 engineering and vocational institutes have been affiliated to All India Council of Technical Education.
