New Delhi, April 25 (IANS) A city court Saturday convicted a man from West Bengal for providing logistic support to five Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorists who had attacked the makeshift Ram temple in Ayodhya in 2005.

Additional Sessions Judge Pratibha Rani held Abdul Bakai Mandal, a resident of North 24 Parganas district, guilty under various provisions of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act.

The court will Monday hear the arguments on the quantum of sentence.

The five JeM terrorists were killed in a gun battle with Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) troopers when they attempted to attack the makeshift temple on the site where the Babri Masjid stood.
