Untitled Document

Aug 31: “ And it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind
Never fading with the sunset
When the rain set in
And your footsteps will always fall here
Along England's greenest hills
Your candle's burned out long before
Your legend ever will”……..Elton John sang at her funeral….

Diana was a star whose life was marred because of controversies and failed relationship, but she was people’s princess as conotated by Tony Blair. She was the most approachable princess, who was always there for poor, AIDs patient, and showed her deep concern for victims of landmines. She said, “the world is too little aware of the waste of life, limb and land which anti-personnel landmines are causing among some of the poorest people on earth."

She often visited hospital secretly avoiding medias glare, supported charity works and came forward to comfort the seek people. She set by AIDS patients and held their hands with a message to this world to shrug of their attitude towards aids patient, "HIV does not make people dangerous to know, so you can shake their hands and give them a hug: Heaven knows they need it.”

Her life was a fairytale but with a very sorrow end, born into the British aristocracy as the youngest daughter of Edward John Spencer and Viscount Althorp, on 1 st July 1961, her engagement to Prince Charles was watched by millions of her fans worldwide. She became mother of future heir, Prince William and Prince Henry. She was a dedicating mother and tried her best to expose them to this world.

Then life took u-turn and her marriage came to an end with a divorce. She confessed in an interview that she suffered from ‘bulimia’ a nervous eating disorder and injured herself several times.

She tried to create a new public image for herself after her troubled marriage.

During an interview to question that on what ground she has the right to think herself as an ambassador, she replied “I've been in a privileged position for 15 years. I've got tremendous knowledge about people and how to communicate. I've learnt that, I've got it, and I want to use it. And when I look at people in public life, I'm not a political animal but I think the biggest disease this world suffers from in this day and age is the disease of people feeling unloved, and I know that I can give love for a minute, for half an hour, for a day, for a month, but I can give - I'm very happy to do that and I want to do that.”

But ten years back on this day ….it was not just another day …..She lost her life in a fatal accident in Paris.

Diana is resting in an Island in Althrop Estate, her ancestral home….

She has left behind a legacy, which echoes in various concert and tabloids.

Her memories are still not faded; it is as fresh as her beauty which charmed millions….She is Queen of People’s Heart.
