Soon after the accident angry mob started destroying public property and as a result police tried to control the violent mob and later the administration imposed curfew in six major areas including the areas around Tajmahal.

As per the report, the traffic on the MG road was busy on the occasion of a religious procession Shab-e-Baraat. However, the traffic police officer allowed some trucks to run into a no-entry zone and as a result one truck crushed four people to death. This was what that made locals violent and started burning trucks and block the entire road.

The Principal Secretary of the state has pointed out the lapse in traffic management that led to the incident and also criticised the district administration for not calculating the situation at the right time. A shoe factory was also burnt by the angry mob and some of its workers are severely injured. Tension still in volatile condition as a result the administration has asked tourists to stay away from the city for the next couple of days.

As per this time the situation seems to arise due to the mismanagement of the traffic condition and hence the District Magistrate has promised to take proper action against the officers on duty at the very time.

Meanwhile, the state administration has announced a compensation of 1 lakh for the dead and 25 thousand for seriously injured. The administration is closely monitoring the situation since then.
