New Zealand wicketkeeper batsman Brendon McCullum stole the thunder from the Indians once again, scoring 69 runs of just 55 deliveries to take the second Twenty20 match from the visitors off the last ball of the match.
Earlier put in to bat by New Zealand, India scored 149 runs for the loss of six wickets. Yuvraj Singh top scorered with 50runs.
Indian captain MS Dhoni remained unbeaten on 28, while Irfan Pathan was unbeaten on 15 runs.
Chasing a target of 150, New Zealand scored the winning run off the last ball.
New Zealand got off to a good start with openers Brendon McCullum and Jesse Ryder accumulating 53 runs off just 4.4 overs.
Irfan Pathan's double strikes towards the end of the match ensured an interesting finish.
In the last over of the match, New Zealand needed 12 runs off six balls. Pathan gave away only three runs in the first three balls.
With the Kiwis needing nine runs off the last three balls, McCullum kept his cool and smacked two successive boundaries to level the score. The final delivery was chipped over the infield to seal the win.
