Similarly in Pune, Bachchan bought a 20 acres land that was termed illegal under Maharastra Agricultural Lands Act.
This illegal possession of land comes into the picture when some people belong to those particular places filed petition in the Faizabad and Allahabad High Court stating that the agriculture land in Barabanki belongs to the Grama Panchayat and hence meant to be distributed among the poor villagers.
Reportedly, Bachchan has also sent letters to the Sarpanch of Daulatpur village and the Divisional Commissioner of Pune regarding his wish to donate those lands.
