Bhubaneswar, Dec 11 (IANS) As many as 23 Bangladeshi fishermen were arrested for illegally fishing in the Indian waters of the Bay of Bengal, police said Thursday.
'The men were fishing in the Indian sea, 160 nautical miles from the port town of Paradip in the coastal district of Jagatsinghpur Wednesday evening,' deputy superintendent of police Chakradhar Mohapatra told IANS. Paradip is about 100 km from here.
He said the Indian coast guard nabbed them and police have seized their fishing vessel 'Sukul'.
