Teen badminton star Saina Nehwal has added another feather to her crown by entering into the elite club of top 10 players in the Badminton World after becoming the first Indian women to reach into the quarter-finals of Beijing Olympics.
Saina has achieved this historic feat by claiming 10th position in the latest released rankings of Badminton World Federation (BWF) with 49,471 points. She is the second Indian woman after Ami M Ghia to achieve this milestone.
Earlier, Ami had enlisted herself in top-10 of the Grand Prix world rankings in 1983.
The year 2008 proved vital for the 18-year-old badminton ace, as this year she won Chinese Taipei Open championship and reached the semis of Singapore Open Super Series and the China Masters Super Series.
