July 14: Japan meteorological department has sent warned signal to the Japanese administration in the wake of a powerful typhoon that develops on Friday with strong winds and heavy rains in the southern island of Kyushu.
Strong winds up to 220 km/hr have forced thousands of people to leave their place. The typhoon has reportedly moved towards the north, the Tokyo city. Named Man-yi, the typhoon is believed to the strongest one in a decade that so far causes high level destruction cutting cities from electricity and other communication network.
According to Meteorological Agency of Japan the storm has preceded to wards Tokyo region and would arrive in the morning. The administration has tightened its hand to deal with heavy torrential rain, flood and landslides.
Though no death has reported so far but hundreds of people have injured it advanced from the Kyushu region. The Kagoshima region of southern Kyushu has been affected the most as the city developed alongside a river.
The authorities have displaced thousands of people to safe high land areas with all basic facilities. As electricity has been cut off due to ferocious wind people face problem and even after the rainstorm ends, it may take couple of weeks to rebuild all power structures, as said by the electricity department.
The airport administration has so far cancelled as many as 500 flights affecting more than 50,000 passengers. Train service is also affected as the typhoon lashes with heavy rains and wind.
Meanwhile, the weather department has indicated that Man-yi may soon hit North Korea coast.
