He was soon rushed to the Civil Hospital after burning nearly 70 per cent of his body. His condition is still remaining serious according to the hospital doctor.

Soon after the news reached other Dera followers hundreds of Dera Sacha supporters hurried to the hospital and keeping in mind the law and order situation, heavy police force have been deployed around the hospital and in the city.

As said by the family members they were being pressurised by some Sikh body members to leave the sect. Meanwhile police has not mentioned any reason over Bansal’s step.

Following the constant conflict between the two sects of Sikh community over Dera chief, Baba Gurmit Ram Rahim Singh, accused of hurting religious sentiments. The act of imitating the 10 th Sikh Guru Govind Singh who belongs to the other sect Akalis has created disturbances between the two sects.
