Jeev Milkha Singh, after winning the Bank of Austria Golf Open has become the top Indian golfer surpassing Jyoti Randhawa. He has ranked on 71st position on the world-ranking table.
Jeev who won the title by record-equaling 18 pars in the final round has leapfrogged from 90th position to 71st potion. Jyoti Randhawa, former no.1 Indian golfer could not participate in the tournament and slipped to 2nd positions from 72nd to 74th.
This was Jeev’s third European Tour title and by winning this title he has also registered himself in the elite top-10 European Order of Merit. Now, Milkha is on the second position in Asia after 11th ranked US-based Korean KJ Choi.
Besides Jeev, Arjun Atwal (186th), SSP Chowrasia (190th), Shiv Kapur (277th) and Gaurav Ghei (303rd) are also in the ranked.
