Lucknow, Nov 11 (IANS) Six railway employees were run over by a train in an Uttar Pradesh village Tuesday, police said.
'At around 12 noon, the gangmen were repairing the Allahabad-Mumbai rail track when the Sarnath Express passed at a high speed,' inspector of Bargarh police station Bhaskar Mishra told IANS by phone.
He said all the six employees died on the spot. The incident took place near Bargarh village of Chitrakoot district, about 280 km from Uttar Pradesh capital Lucknow.
'A team is being sent to the spot and strict action will be taken against those found guilty,' superintendent of government railway police, Allahabad region, J.K. Tyagi said.
