The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) and Federal Agency of Culture and Cinematography of Russia (FACCR) with gracious motive to strengthening cultural relations and mutual understanding with other countries are going to organise a musical programme “Sirin Choir of Russian Music” on Tuesday.
Culture though having a complex definition can be simply termed as "the way of life for an entire society." Culture is the concept of immense significance including all the aspects of our life and relations. Culture is manifested in music, literature, lifestyle, painting and sculpture, theatre and film and similar things.
Indian Council for Cultural Relations
The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) was founded on 9th April 1950 by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the first Education Minister of independent India with the distinguished purpose of spreading Indian culture and tradition and has been witnessing the multi development in the Indian society.
Working not only for spreading Indian culture and traditions, the ICCR is acting as the communion of cultures. To facilitate Indian culture’s interaction with global cultures, the Council has insisted on to communicate and demonstrate the diversity and richness of the Indian cultures within and outside India.
Indian literature, music, and dance, Indian paintings, sculpture and crafts, as well as Indian theatre and films, has each observed great outbursts of creativity. The ICCR simultaneously working on two fronts: classical as well as modern and seeking the harmonious amalgamation between the two forms of culture. It encourages improvisation and experimentation with the new and pays homage to the classical as well as the folk forms of India's cultural expression.
Federal agency of culture and cinematography of Russia
The Federal Agency of Culture and Cinematography of Russia (FACCR) is a federal executive authority authorised to administer public assets and render government services in the sphere of culture and cinematography. It is subjected to jurisdiction of the Ministry of Culture and Mass Media of the Russian Federation.
