Nanded (Maharashtra), Oct 27 (ANI): The tri-centenary Guru-ta Gaddi celebrations of Guru Granth Sahib, the holy book of Sikhs began today at Nanded in Maharashtra.
During this ceremony, sanctum sanctorum of Sach Khand Gurudwara and weapons of Guru Govind Singh is bathed with the Godavari river water.
A large number of Sikh pilgrims are washing the sanctum sanctorum and outer portion of the Gurudwara.
Experts are also cleaning golden dome of the Gurudwara.
This ritual bathing of sanctum sanctorum is conducted once in a year on Deepawali. (ANI)
