The Indian campaign at the Asian Badminton Championships resisted no challenge whatsoever as it came to quick end after the doubles pairs representing the country are being shown the door at Johor Bahru in Malaysia on Thursday.
The fourth seeded Indonesian pair of Alvent Yulianto Chandra and Luluk Hadiyanto defeated Indian pair of Rupesh Kumar and Sanave Thomas 21-7 23-21 in the first round in under half an hour.
Akshay Devalkar and V Diju advanced to the second round but eventually lost 21-16 21-14 to the eight seeded Japanese duo of Keita Masuda and Tadashi Ohtsuka in that round.
The Indian duo had earlier routed Jordan's Noubani Ehad Nidal and Mohd Naser Mansour Nayef 21-6 21-4 in the first round.
Jwala Gutta and Shruti Kurian lost to top seed pair of Wei Yang and Jiewen Zhang 10-21 7-21 in just 20 minutes in the second round of the women's doubles. Earlier, Jwala and Shruti defeated Singapore's Fan Frances Liu and Yu Yan Vanessa Neo 21-15 24-22 in the opening round.
The mixed doubles team of V Diju and Jwala Gutta alos surrendered in second round after facing a defeat of 21-19 21-15 by Indonesia's Anggun Nugroho and Endang Nursugianti in just 25 minutes.
The Indian men's and women's singles players had already made exit on the first day of the main draw matches on Wednesday.
