Salwan Boys starts off with a win in Boost cricket

Riding on a quick-fire knock of 52-ball 68 that included ten fours and two sixes by Sandip Kaushik former champions Salwan Boys School, Delhi started off their Boost cricket campaign with a big boosting nine-wicket win over Vidyakunj High School, Baroda in their opening league match of the All India Boost Cricket Cup Inter-City Challenge here.

Sandip Kaushik was named man of the match for his fine match winning knock.

Brief Scores: Vidyakunj High School, Baroda: 157 all out in 44.1 overs (Dhevan Monola 35 (3x4, 2x6), Mohseen Shaikh 27, Vikram Dahiya 2/18, Ajay Chauhan 2/35, Yatharth Tomar 3/29) lost to Salwan Boys School, Delhi: 158 for 1 in 22.5 Overs (Sandip Kaushik 68 (52b, 10x4, 2x6), Nitidh Rana 48 n.o., 6x4.)

In another match, Neelambai Subramaniam High School, Salem crashed to a 9-wicket defeat to Mumbai champions Swami Vivekanand High School in a Group B League match played at the MCA Ground, Kandivli.

In another big scoring match, DAV School, Chandigarh, rode on the centuries of Amit Rana (173) and Ankit Kaushik (117) to tame Presidency School Bangalore by 111 runs at the Matunga Gymkhana ground.

In another match, fine half-centuries knock by R. D. Ashwin Kumar (54) and M. Kamlesh (50) helped Santhoma High School, Chennai beat St John's Jr. College, Hyderabad by three wickets in their league match.
