Mitsubishi electric, which is known for its large format television since last two decades has been added a new jewel in its elite range of television kit by unveiling world’s first ever laser high-definition television ‘LaserVue’ in USA. Mitsubishi has predicted to launch it in India in the third quarter of 2008.
Moreover laser television; Mitsubishi has also introduced several models of HDTV in its two segments – Digital Light Processing and Ultra-thin frame Liquid Crystal Display. In DLP HDTV segment it has added three new models 73-inch 1080p, 65-inch and 60-inch.
While in Ultra-thin frame LCD segment, company has added seven new HDTV models ranging from 40 to 52-inches. In this segment, company has reduced 10% of frame width in its all models. Unlike, ‘LaserVue’ DLP and Ultra Thin Frame LCD HDTVs are likely to roll out in April and May 2008.
Regarding ‘LaserVue’, Mitsubishi has claimed to offers first-ever never seen color range in home entertainment, so far. It is extremely clear-cut and accurate in display vision while its clearness of laser light technique has beaten current high-definition technologies, as Mitsubishi claimed while unveiling it.
Appreciating about laser technology, company official claims, “Laser beams provide the widest range of rich, complex colors, along with maximum clarity and depth of field.”
‘The viewers feel new experience in 3D-viewing while it is more environmental-friendly and also saves 50% of power in the comparison of current running LCD TVs’, as per company claims. This model was being highly appreciated in Consumer Electronic Show, at Las Vegas Navada in January 2008.
In DLP HDTV model, company has introduced thinner frames with more brightness and color contrast along with 3D-ready capability that offers best picture quality and performance. The major qualities in 1080p DLP HDTV include the ‘Diamond’ feature like Smooth120Hz to optimize fast action scenes and Dark Detailer for higher contrast imagery, a high gloss design, Blue Light Accent and 6-color processor for amazing range of color production.
Exploring about 3D-ready quality, company claims that the 3D quality in 1080p DLP HDTV is far ahead from its earlier models’ quality and provide amazing 3D experience to the viewers. ‘It will allow customers to take advantage of 3D formatted movie, sports, and video game content when available in the future.’ claimed company official.
In the Ultra Thin Frame segment, company claims that the introduced new range is featured with low-profile speakers for improved sound, Variable Smooth 120Hz Film Motion for eliminating artifact in movie (for smooth, crisp, fast and slow action content), GalleryPlayer technology for incredible display of high-definition art and photography, DeepField Imager for higher contrast imagery along with included 10bit Panels, 6-Color Processor, x.v.Color and Deep Color for perfect viewing.
The introductory prices of the DLP models would be ranged between $1,799 and $4,699 while those of the Ultra Thin Frame 1080p LCD HDTVs range between $2,499 and $4,499.
