In a bid to raise the standard of football and for the further development of game in the country All India Football Federation (AIFF) President Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi will meet FIFA President Joseph Blatter in Zurich on Monday.
According to AIFF, General Secretary, Alberto Colaço two very important meetings are lined-up on the occasion that can have a significant impact for development of Football in India.
As per an AIFF statement, "A high powered committee consisting of the FIFA President Joseph Sepp Blatter, AFC President Mohammed bin Hammam, AIFF President Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi and Injeti Srinivas, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Sports, Government of India, will meet at the FIFA House in Zurich today."
The meeting particularly aims at ‘Win in India with India project’, which was given to India by the FIFA President during his visit to country last year. In addition the FIFA GOAL Project and the FIFA Referees Development Programme will also be on the agenda of the high-profile meeting.
Meanwhile a delegation of AFC Pro League Ad-Hoc Committee will also visit the AIFF headquarters in the capital on Monday to discuss India's preparedness to send a team to the revamped AFC Champions League next year.
Vice Chairman T Suzuki will meet, AIFF General Secretary, Colaco to discuss progress made by Indian clubs in the implementation of the licensing norms and other issues concerning professionalisation of the game in the country.
Suzuki will also carry out a workshop for I-League and second division club’s representatives.
