PGTI member Arjun Singh couldn't make of much of a difference in the final round of the Philippine Open after carding one over 73 to finish at tied 22nd on the final day in Manila on Sunday.
Local favourite Filipino Angelo Que (73, 71, 66, 73) emerged as the winner of the tournament with a total of five under 283. Angelo Que enjoyed a memorable home triumph when he lifted the Philippine Open title on Sunday.
The 29-year-old Manila native Filipino carded a one-over-par 73 in the final round and claimed his second success on the Asian Tour at the taxing Wack Wack Golf and Country Club.
Filipino romped home with a prize purse of $47,550 and made a big leap on the Asian Tour’s Order of Merit as he advanced 20th place further in the Order.
Another PGTI member in the field Himmat Singh Rai finished tied 61st as he shot 79 in the fourth round. Himmat Singh Rai (73, 76, 78, 79) finished the tournament with an overall score of eighteen over 306.
Arjun’s inconsistent run continued in the fourth round as well, ending the tournament with a total of four over 292(72, 74, 73, 73).
Arjun sank birdies the second, fourth, 11th, 13th, 14th and dropped bogeys on the first, seventh, 18th. He also made a triple bogey on the 16th.
