Cartridge Shoppe initiated franchisee chain

New Delhi, Wed, 19 Mar 2008 Sadiq Ali

After successfully implementing its franchisee model, Big Cartridge Shoppe Pvt. Ltd. is on franchisee spree through out India. During last one month Company has added five more franchisees to its ever increasing chain.

While inaugurating Sri Ganganagar (Rajasthan) franchisee under the brand name of Cartridge Shoppe Rahul Bhardwaj, regional manager, said, "This is just the beginning. We are formally going to start our franchisee process from April 1, 2008."

Cartridge Shoppe has big plans for the refilling and remanufacturing industry of the country. Company is trying hard to target the multi-million dollar industry in India. "Since a decade or so, many players made their presence felt while tapping the unorganised market of remanufacturing and refilling but our approach and target will be much different than others," Rahul said.

"Besides increasing our presence in other parts of the country, we aim to increase the presence of Indian industry on international level. Till few years back most of the industry was unorganised but now new players are developing strategy at par with international players, which is good sign", he further added.

Irrespective of the market cap, refillers and remanufacturers throughout the country are now trying to give new impetus to the industry. "Formation of Indian Remanufacturers and Recyclers Association (ICRRA) was blessing and now even people from outside seem to be serious about the whole sector," Regional manager of Cartridge Shoppe said.

Besides Sri Ganganagar outlet in Rajasthan, Cartridge Shoppe opened its outlets in New Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.

"Starting from April 1, 2008 we are going to work intensively on our franchisee chain. We are sure enough to add more than 30 outlets at the end of financial year," said Rahul.

In India organised refilling just constitutes five per cent while as rest of the proportion is being catered by thousands of unorganised shops and road side vendors.
