Islamabad, Jan 9 (ANI): Pakistani authorities have recovered the bodies of ten soldiers who were earlier taken away after a clash with militants in the Upper Orakzai region, security officials have said.
The Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed responsibility for killing the troops.
The News quoted an official of the military's media wing as saying that the troops had been missing in Orakzai district since December 25 when militants attacked a check post.
The bodies were found on Sunday.
One security official said 23 soldiers were targeted in the late-night attack by around 100 heavily armed militants. The bullet-riddled bodies of the missing 10 were found dumped in Dabori town of the tribal area. (ANI)
