Hazaribagh, Jan 6 (ANI): Senior BJP leader, Yashwant Sinha here today defended the Bharatiya Janata Party's decision to induct tainted leader, Babu Singh Kushwaha, ahead of Uttar Pradesh assembly polls, by saying that he is a whistle blower.
Sinha claimed Kushwaha, who has joined the BJP, would expose corruption by Mayawati.
"Kushwaha has joined Bharatiya Janata Party as a whistle blower. He will expose the corruption in the Mayawati government, as he was not alone responsible for the corruption. That is why he is a whistle blower," said Sinha.
Kushwaha, a prominent backward caste leader from Uttar Pradesh, was expelled by Chief Minister Mayawati following allegations of corruption in the government's National Rural Health Mission (NRHM), while holding the office of state Health and Family Welfare Minister.
The Central Bureau of Investigation had raided Kushwaha's residence in Lucknow for his allegedly misappropriating funds in the NRHM.
THE CBI has registered cases against Kushwaha and 50 others, including government officials. (ANI)
