Narayanpur, Jan 6 (ANI): In a joint operation, four hardcore Maoists were arrested by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the state police in Narayanpur village of Chhattisgarh yesterday.
The arrested Maoists have been accused of carrying out several attacks on CRPF camps, schools and roads in the region.
Out of the four, two Maoists, Gangaram and Mayaram had a reward of 25 thousand rupees on their head and another Maoist, Dalsai, had a reward of 20 thousand rupees by the state government.
Revealing the details, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Prashant Aggarwal told mediapersons that the arrested Maoist were very active in the region and were behind a number of attacks.
"We were successful in arresting four Maoists. The arrested Maoists are members of the Daula LOAS group. They have been active in Dhaurai and Chota Dongar region since past four to five years. More than 29 arrest warrants have been issued by the court against them in various cases," said Aggarwal.
The security forces have also seized live cartridges and Maoist literature from them. (ANI)
