Lahore, Jan 1(ANI): Pakistan Tehrik-e Insaaf Chairperson Imran Khan has vowed to transform the country into a real Islamic social welfare state, as envisioned by former leader Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
"I want to see a corruption-free and true Islamic welfare state wherein justice prevails and there are health and education facilities for all citizens," The Nation quoted Imran,as saying.
He added that his party's 'shadow cabinet' is currently devising a strategy to revamp various departments and sectors to put the country on the road to progress.
He said did not expect a massive turnout at Karachi and Lahore public rallies.
"However keeping in view the public mood in the last few years over important issues I was sure that PTI would succeed in bringing out from their homes the people of Lahore in large numbers," Imran said.
Imran pointed out that it was possible to bring back the money stashed abroad by politicians, as governments abroad are willing to cooperate on the issue.
He said an independent committee under the PTI government would take up this task as its key priority. (ANI)
