London, Dec 30 (ANI): The number of men having hair transplants has surged since Wayne Rooney had work done on his balding bonce, according to new figures.
Figures revealed by surgery firm Transform indicate enquiries have grown by 65 per cent this year after the Manchester United ace paid around 30,000 pounds for surgery in June.
Hair transplant is now the second most popular cosmetic procedure for blokes after nose jobs.
Stars like Louis Walsh, Gordon Ramsay and choreographer Jason Gardiner have also had ops.
"It's very common to see an influx of enquiries after celebrities reveal their treatments. This was definitely the case after Rooney's op," the Sun quoted Shami Thomas of Transform as saying.
Women are having the ops too due to extensions pulling out their hair - a problem suffered by Rooney's wife Coleen.
The figures also suggest more lightening shampoo for real golden locks sells in the South Coast city than anywhere else.
The city with the most bottle blondes is Newcastle, where bleaching-product sales are highest. (ANI)
