Mumbai, Dec 28 (ANI): The health condition of veteran social activist Anna Hazare, who began a three-day fast for a strong Lokpal Bill at Mumbai Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (MMRDA) ground here, today improved slightly and he has decided to continue his fast.
Briefing mediapersons after Hazare's medical check-up by Dr Ratna Malhotra, Team Anna member Manish Sisodia said his fever had came down to 100 degrees this morning from 102 degrees last night. nna's pulse rate came down to 72 and blood pressure to 170/94.
Anna's health had deteriorated on Tuesday night but there was no move to hospitalise him immediately even as his close aides persuaded him to give up his three-day fast which he began on Tuesday.
"We are trying to convince Anna to call off his fast for almost an hour. We have requested him to take medicine after taking meal because medicine couldn't be consumed on an empty stomach. But Anna is not ready to call off his fast," said Arvind Kejriwal, Hazare's close aide.
Anna is fasting for three days in protest of what he and his team call a 'weak' Lokpal Bill. After ending his fast on December, Anna and his group of social activists plan to head to the national capital where they will launch a 'jail bharo' movement by protesting in front of the houses of Congress leaders like Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.
