Gaya, Dec 23 (ANI): Bihar police have arrested four Maoists as part of a drive to step up operations to counter Maoist activities.
The arrests were made in Gaya on Thursday based on intelligence reports.
A cache of arms and ammunition was also seized from them.
The arrested ultras are accused of carrying out several attacks on schools, roads and bridges in the region.
Revealing the details, assistant commandant of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Chote Lal said that the arrested Maoist ultras were very active in the region and were behind a number of attacks.
"Maoists are very active in this region. They are behind the recent disturbance that has occurred in the region One of the arrested is a sub-zonal commander Neeru Yadav who has been fairly active in the area," said Lal. (ANI)
