Mumbai, Dec 21 (ANI): A women's reserved coach in a local passenger train derailed while departing from Mumbai.
The incident took place Wednesday morning when the local train departed from the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus for Kalyan, in Thane District Maharashtra.
Senior Public Relations Officer of Central Railway, A K Jain informed that no casualties or injuries were reported from the incident.
"The incident was reported around 8:47 am in the morning. The train departed from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus for Kalyan city. As it rolled out, one coach derailed. No passenger has been injured in this incident," he said.
The rescue work was initiated to clear the railway tracks, but the schedules of several other trains have been affected due to this mishap.
Jain added that a thorough probe would be conducted in this regard.
"The reason will be investigated. It is too soon to comment upon it now. There is a need of a thorough probe," he said. (ANI)
