Palamu, Dec 17 (ANI): It has been sixteen days since, Adheen Prajapati, a villager of Semari village in Jharkhand's Palamu District got abducted by the Maoists.
The Prajapati's wife told the mediapersons that a group of Maoists arrived in their village around midnight and barged into their house and took away her husband on December 1.
"The Maoists forcefully asked me to open the door and asked me to provide them with water. I then opened the door. I just rushed inside to call someone. As I went inside they took away my husband. They were around 20-25 people," said Santani, Prajapati's wife.
She also added the Maoists made a monetary demand of rupees 30 lakhs.
Maoists have often resorted to tactics such as abduction to generate funds for their agenda causing serious threat to innocent lives living in Maoists affected area. (ANI)
