Islamabad, Dec 10 (ANI): The Amir of the Jamat-e-Islami Pakistan Syed Munawar Hassan has said Washington's mere seeking of forgiveness by the US would not be enough to condone the murder of 24 military officials and troops.
In a statement issued here at Mansoora, the JI headquarters, Munawar Hassan said a permanent suspension of NATO supplies was in line with decisions and resolutions passed unanimously by the All Parties Conference and Parliament.
"Some segments are pushing the idea that the NATO supply line should be restored if the US extends an apology," The News quoted him, as saying while terming such a view against the national aspirations and the decisions of the National Defence Committee.
He blamed the government for the NATO attacks on Pakistan check posts in November, insisting that the government did not implement the resolutions passed and decisions reached at the two meetings of the Parliament and an All Parties Conference.
"This emboldened the US and as a result NATO forces intruded many times into Pakistan territory and attacked our check posts," he argued.
He said the US had been treating Pakistan as its slave and bent upon 'attacking our freedom and sovereignty.' (ANI)
