Gaya (Bihar), Dec 4(ANI): Bihar police have arrested two Maoists as part of a drive to step up operations to counter Maoist activities.
The arrests were made in Gaya on Saturday based on intelligence reports.
The two arrested have been identified as Chotu Khan alias Shamim Miya alias Munna Khan alias Babu Khan alias Boss and Mohammad Nazeeb alias Sufi. A cache of weapons and ammunition was also seized.
Senior Superintendent of Police of Gaya, Vinay Kumar, said the two had been linked with Maoists rebel activities.

"Chotu Khan is the most dangerous criminal of the district. Looking at his past records, we have found his involvement in more than 35 cases, which include cases from Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal," he said.
"We have received information of his involvement in criminal activities in other states as well, so we are trying to seek information from there as well.
