Dannii Minogue honoured with doctorate for showbiz career

London, Nov 10 (ANI): Kylie Minogue's sister Dannii Minogue has received an honorary doctorate from a university for her career in showbiz.

The singer-turned-TV personality was awarded the Doctor of Media degree from Southampton Solent University at a special ceremony held on board the HQS Wellington in London on Nov 9.

Minogue, 40, was picked for the honour in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the entertainment industry, the Daily Express reported.

The excited Australian star posted a tweet ahead of the event saying, "On my way to collect something special and I'm so nervous!!!!"

Minogue later posted a picture of herself holding her diploma while dressed in traditional cap and gown, along with the caption, "Is there a doctor in the house?" (ANI)
