Bigamist woman caught after hubby saw second wedding photos online

London, Nov 6 (ANI): A bigamist woman was caught red handed after her first husband saw a photograph of her illegal second wedding on a social networking site.

Jacqueline Barrie married her second husband, Kenneth Barrie, in a modest ceremony at the Aberdeen registry office on 26t June last year, while she was already married to her first husband, Eaun Fleming.

Fleming, who confirmed that the couple had separated but never divorced, spotted photographs of the illegal wedding on the Internet and called in the police to investigate.

The 43-year-old woman admitted committing bigamy at the Aberdeen Sheriff Court and was fined 500 pounds for the offence.

"The first marriage took place in 1994 and I think the parties split in November 2008," the Scotsman quoted Sandy Hutchison, the procurator fiscal as saying.

"I think there was some communication via solicitors, but no divorce proceedings were instigated. It appears that the matter came to light because of pictures on a social networking site and that information eventually went back to Mr Fleming," he said.

Barrie married Fleming in 1994 and has two daughters from the relationship, but the couple separated in 2008 as "that marriage was an abusive and violent one at the hands of Mr Fleming".

The defence lawyer, David Sutherland, said that his client was now divorced from Fleming and had married Barrie again on 28th April this year.

He also added that the housewife now lives in the Middle East with her new husband and regretted her actions. (ANI)
