New Delhi, Oct 29 (ANI): The brewing standoff between Congress and Team Anna further intensified on Saturday, after senior party leader Digvijay Singh took yet another pot shot at Anna Hazare.
In continuation of his previous tirades, Digvijay Singh lashed out at Hazare with scathing sarcasm, while commenting on the need to 'restructure' the core committee of anti-graft movement-a proposal suggested by the Gandhian activist's key aide, Kumar Vishwas, a day earlier.
Highlighting Hazare's alleged links with the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS), Digvijay Singh asked anti-corruption crusader to bring hidden faces in front of the public like K. N. Govindacharya , Ajit Doval and S Gurumurti, who are supporting the Anna's movement.
K. N. Govindacharya was once considered the think tank of BJP, Gurumurti was associated with RSS, and Ajit Doval once chief of the Intelligence Bureau.
"I urge Anna Hazare to bring those core committee members who are operating from behind the scene to the forefront. Please include people such as Gurumurthy, Govindacharya and Ajit Doval into the core committee," he added.
Digvijay Singh had earlier asked spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravishankar to be cautious of the BJP and the RSS.
"I appeal to respected Sri Sri Ravi Shankar with folded hands to beware of the BJP and RSS. These right-wing outfits are trying to exploit you. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar recently released Nitin Gadkari's book. He should first find out what was Gadkari's financial condition a decade ago and how it has changed over a short span of time."
Singh has tweeted: "Sri Sriji releases Nitin Gadkariji's book Advaniji and Suresh Soniji of RSS on the dais. Sri Sri ji ko jai ho!"
"I hold Sri Ravi Shankarji in high esteem and have done a course in the Art of Living as CM MP in 2001. He should be wary of Sangh/BJP," Singh tweeted.
Digvijay has earlier tweeted that it is now Sri Sri Ravi Shanker's turn to launch campaign against the government. Campaign against Congress by Baba Ramdev had crashed as it failed to appeal to people. Referring to Anna Hazare's campaign, he raised a question mark without saying whether it has failed or succeeded.
He tweeted: "Plan A - Baba Ramdev. Crashed. Plan B- Anna?. Plan C - Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, soon to start his campaign. (ANI)
