Ankara, Oct 11 (ANI): Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari has opined that the ideals symbolized by Mustafa Kemal Ataturk continue to inspire secular, liberal and democratic people the world over.
Vice President Ansari paid homage at the memorial of the founder of the Republic of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, in Ankara today. The mausoleum of Ataturk is called Anti Kabir.
Vice President Ansari, who is presently on a five-day visit to Turkey, while signing in Golden Book at Ataturk Mausoleum here opined that the ideals symbolized by Mustafa Kemal Pasha continue to inspire secular, liberal and democratic people the world over.
He remarked that that the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk was a source of inspiration for India's freedom movement.
Ataturk was a statesman, visionary leader and the founder of the Republic of Turkey.
Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment Mukul Wasnik, Members of Parliament Sitaram Yechury, Ranjitsingh Vijaysinh Patil, Vijay Pal Singh and Ingrid McLeod are accompanying the Vice President on his visit. ndia's relations with Turkey have a historical bearing. The links between both countries are civilisational, encompassing architecture, arts, language and cuisine.
