Helen Mirren calls first ever film fight scene 'The Geriatric Fight'

Washington, Oct 02 (ANI): Actress Helen Mirren, who has filmed a fight scene for new film 'The Debt', which she called "The Geriatric Fight".

According to BBC, the 66-year-old actress, who has proved time and again that age is no barrier when it comes to furthering one's acting diversity, said that the name was given by her as once the two people involved in the fight went down it was hard for them to get up.

"For a very long time girls weren't allowed to have fight scenes, it just didn't happen," Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

"Now they can and Angelina Jolie does them all, but for a woman of my age a fight scene is pretty rare," Contactmusic quoted her as telling BBC in an interview.

"I called it 'The Geriatric Fight' - when you go down it's very hard to get up again. We wanted it to be very realistic, they are both old but they are fighting to the death," she added. (ANI)
