New Delhi, Sep 28 (ANI): Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi and his sister Priyanka Vadra on Wednesday met specially-abled persons, who received three-wheeler scooters from the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, a non-profit organisation, run by Congress President Sonia Gandhi.
Rahul and Priyanka, Trustee and Executive Trustee of the Foundation, were seen interacting with the specially-abled persons and posing for photographs with them.
According to media reports, the distribution programme was scheduled to take place on the birthday of former Prime Minister late Rajiv Gandhi on August 20. However, it was postponed due to Sonia Gandhi's ill health.
Congress President Sonia Gandhi underwent a surgery for an undisclosed ailment in the United States last month.
64-year-old Sonia Gandhi had constituted a four-member team comprising her son and party General Secretary Rahul Gandhi, Defence Minister AK Antony, her political advisor Ahmed Patel and party General Secretary Janardhan Dwivedi to look after party affairs in her absence. (ANI)
