Paris, Sept 26 (ANI): French journalist Tristane Banon, who has accused former International Monetary Fund chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn of trying to rape her, broke down in front of crowds of protestors, admitting she is afraid of coming face-to-face with her alleged attacker.
Banon, who has claimed the French politician tried to rape her in a flat in 2003, wept as she spoke to 300 campaigners in front of the Paris Courthouse, during a protest that urged French authorities to take reports of sexual assaults more seriously.
She told the protestors that she was 'afraid of coming face to face with him', but said it would be reassuring to get the experience over with, the Daily Mail reports.
It emerged 32-year-old writer will come face-to-face with her alleged attacker as soon as next week in a confrontation procedure, which under French law is part of a preliminary police inquiry into Banon's complaint.
The court has said a meeting would be held with Strauss-Kahn and his accuser Banon, so that investigators could compare their versions of an incident in a Paris apartment. (ANI)
