Tokyo, Sep 23(ANI): Indian badminton star Saina Nehwal today entered the semifinals of the Japan Open Super Series in Tokyo after defeating Singapore's Juan Gu in straight sets.
Nehwal beat Juan 21-17, 21-13, and will now face Juliane Schenk of Germany.
The 21-year-old holds a 5-2 lead over Schenk in seven games played between the two shuttlers.
Nehwal had won the last encounter in the 2010 Hong Kong Open. (ANI)
