London, Sept 22 (ANI): Sarah Palin is running the risk of losing both her marriage and her political career, after the release of an explosive biography.
'The Rogue: Searching for the Real Sarah Palin', written by Joe McGinniss and released this week, alleges that Palin used cocaine and marijuana, had a one-night stand with NBA star Glen Rice and a long-term affair with her husband's business partner, Brad Hanson.
According to the National Enquirer, friends close to the couple said that her husband Todd is so 'fed up' with the continuous scandals ever since she ran for vice president in 2009 that he is ready to file for a divorce.
Todd was particularly outraged by Palin's brother's quote in the book, aying that his sister and Todd's marriage was over.
"The final straw was McGinniss quoting Sarah's brother Chuckie telling a friend they don't have a marriage," the Daily Mail quoted a friend as telling the tabloid.
"Todd felt as if he was stabbed in the back by his own brother-in-law after 23 years of being married to the guy's sister, and having five kids together," the friend added.
Todd also feels like he has been made a laughing stock as the one-time fling with Rice had become a joke on late night TV and was all over the Internet.
Meanwhile, the former Alaska governor's advisers have warned her that making a bid for the White House could be "political suicide".
"Sarah Palin has been destroyed by Joe McGinniss' no-holds-barred biography. It exposed all her lies, cover-ups and secrets," a source close to Palin said.
"As a result she has been told by her advisers that it would be political suicide to announce a White House candidacy. The press and her opponents would have a field day digging into the dirty details of her background," the source added. (ANI)
