Washington, Sept 13(ANI): Louisiana Governor of Indian origin Bobby Jindal has endorsed Republican Rick Perry as the 2012 Republican US presidential nominee.
"Rick Perry is the candidate who can lead our party to victory in 2012,"Jindal said.
His support came in the wake of former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty endorsing Perry's rival, Mitt Romney, the Telegraph reports. indal's support gives a significant boost to Perry's claim of being the most electable 2012 US presidential candidate.
Pawlenty, who is endorsing Romney, said his candidate possesses unmatched skills and experience at creating jobs and reviving the faltering economy.
"I believe he's going to be our party's nominee and I think he's going to be a transformational and great president," Pawlenty said. (ANI)
