Southampton (UK), Sep.7 (ANI): England continued their winning streak over India, successfully chasing the 188 runs needed after a fine captain's innings from Alastair Cook.
The hosts won the truncated second one-day international played here by seven wickets.
Opening the innings, Cook made 80, as his team made short work of their target.
The match was reduced to 23 overs-a-side after heavy rain forced a 7 p.m. start.
During his 63-ball stay at the crease, he shared partnerships of 67 with Craig Kieswetter, who made 46 in typically muscular fashion, and 38 with Ian Bell, who was at his form best, despite being dropped on 11.
For India, Suresh Raina scored an explosive 17-ball 40, while opener Ajinkya Rahane scored a fine 54 off 47 balls.
