Former Pak minister Sher Afgan Niazi resigns from Musharraf's party

Karachi, August 21(ANI): Veteran politician and former minister Sher Afgan Khan Niazi has resigned from the All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) following differences with the party leadership.

 

Niazi was working as Senior President of the APML, which was founded by former military ruler Pervez Musharraf last year.

 

The Express Tribune quoted Niazi, as saying that he was not happy with the behaviour of some of the party leaders and was not keen on working with them any longer.

 

According to reports, the seasoned politician had sent his resignation to Musharraf.

 

On the other hand, APML spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry said that he had not received Niazi's resignation as yet.

 

According to sources, Niazi had differences with some APML officials, including Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, Dr Amjad and General (r) Rashid Qureshi. (ANI)
